Aura Equipments has introduced an Excel tool for the System i. With Launcher 400 Excel, native System i programs populate Excel templates, including formulas, graphs, and pivot tables. When new data is inserted, the final workbook is updated without user input. Conversely, System i native programs can read the contents of Excel spreadsheets, and users can move program variable values to and from Excel cells. Notably, it works without System i query tools or copying/pasting of data. Also, users can pre-generate workbooks by scheduling batch jobs. The solution can collaborate with third-party applications and requires V3R2 or later.
