Profound Logic Integrates App Mod Tool with IBM's Rational Developer Toolset

Profound Logic Software has announced the availability of the Profound UI Plugin for Eclipse. Profound UI is a graphical user interface platform based on IBM's RPG Open Access, the recent enhancement to RPG that opens it up to web interfaces. The platform offers developers a method to create connected IBM i applications that deliver rich user experiences. With this new Eclipse enhancement, users can design the user interface and develop back-end RPG code from within IBM's Rational Developer tools.

"As more IBM i developers were adopting the Profound UI platform, we started receiving requests to integrate the solution with IBM's Rational tools. Our plug-in significantly simplifies web development with RPG using the most modern tools available," says Alex Roytman, CEO of Profound Logic Software.

The Profound UI Plugin for Eclipse adds a new context-sensitive option to Remote Systems Explorer (RSE) in Rational Developer tool versions 7.5 and higher. Profound UI users can install the plug-in at no cost by pointing their Rational Developer for i environment to http://www.profoundlogic.com/plugin under Software Updates.
